The difference between you and me is that I haven't set myself up as a software reviewer, and I've only commented when I felt it was important to say something - for example to correct your "forgetfulness". I have offered opinions on software as well as comments posted at GAOTD on occasion - long before you were around, in fact - but you'd be hard-pressed to remember any of them because they're few and far between. Those points all make Dashlane unusable for me. Moreover, in the case of Dashlane (which I'd never heard of before you mentioned it, which is why I was keen to try it), it also forces you to set up an online account at Dashlane and installs an IE toolbar - two more negatives in my opinion - and something you should have mentioned in your review. A program that works only with certain browsers automatically alienates those who use other browsers, and pointing that out is helpful for those people. Whether or not 90% of people use the three browsers mentioned is irrelevant. I've tried numerous password managers, both free and commercial, so I'm pretty aware of what is available, but I wasn't commenting on those - I was trying to ensure that others who may not have dug a little deeper were not confused or misled by your incorrect information. Including me in that comment was a mistake on your part. That being the case, don't you think those people who rely on your comments deserve to be told the full, accurate story? As you point out, "most of you (including YOU, I’m afraid) have not a clue about better free alternatives". If you're going to set yourself up as a reviewer you need to ensure that the information you give is accurate. A number of people found my comment useful, so they must not have felt the same. Sorry you see my comments as "moaning" and "silly". Besides for $19.99 a year, or as some have found it for cheaper or freepay, its very well work the price. After this 1 YEAR license, you still are not locked out from using your account, your license will not allow you to use the everywhere feature any more. I used the regular download from the RoboForm website and used the code in there, worked fine. I also want to add to my first post and about this GOTD offer. Besides for $19.99 a year, or as some have found it for cheaper or freepay, its very well work the Ashraf from dotTech You just would have to type in your master password, and bam! your good to go. Just using WinRAR or simple copy and pasting the whole folder worked. It does NOT do a xml file this way, proof is more than your words, here have a look where it does take you when you click on export, TO ALL YOUR WEBSITE PASSWORDS FOR YOU TO COPY:īefore we could upload all our encrypted files (those that are show in the screenshot, yes those are ENCRYPTED then uploaded, so safe), this is how I backed up my RoboForm files before I would do a format. SERIOUSLY Ashraf I think YOU are the one who needs to TRIPLE check, as I have used this application for years.
